ABOUT ASHER
Asher is very excited to share his special day with you all. This journey has been in motion since the 1's class at Chanen Preschool. He took to his Jewish learning with joy, and made life long friendships with his classmates. From there he went on to Hevre Religious School, continuing studying towards this big day.
When Asher is not studying Hebrew, he loves to sing, create, rollerblade and fence. He loves spending time with the family, and our Chocolate Lab Rhino. A true adventurer, he considers his "happy place" is a tie between Morocco and Camp Stein.
What is the significance of a Bar Mitzvah?
A Bar or Bat Mitzvah is a meaningful Jewish coming-of-age ceremony that marks a young person’s transition into religious and communal responsibility. Typically held when a boy turns 13 (Bar Mitzvah) or a girl turns 12 (Bat Mitzvah), the event centers around the young person being called to the Torah for the first time, often reading a portion of it during a synagogue service. This moment symbolizes their new role as a full participant in Jewish life, accountable for observing commandments and engaging in the community.

"Do I need a rental car?"
You may want one if you are staying longer and want to explore. However, the airport is only 20 mins from the hotel, and everything else is relatively close. There are plenty of ride share options as well as Waymo.

All guests are warmly invited to the morning service at Congregation Beth Israel. That said, we understand that some may prefer to take that time to rest or explore.
